Our hope is that Brunswick Pride feels accessible and safe to all those who attend!

Accessibility accommodations include: ASL interpreters, chairs near the main stage for those with limited mobility and/or deafness to view the interpreters, handicap accessible restrooms, and a calming tent with sides for those who need some quiet time.

The Brunswick Pride Planning Committee have had conversations with the local Brunswick Police Department regarding the sensitivity of police in LGBTQIA+ spaces, especially given the origin of Pride. They have been incredibly supportive throughout our planning process, and through this close partnership, they have been asked to attend the Festival to ensure the safety of everyone. We want folks to know that the few Brunswick Police officers that will be present at the Festival space were invited there by the Committee.

Though we do not anticipate violence or harassment, there is a potential for counter-protesters at the festival. We ask all guests to not engage with the haters. We’ve got better stuff to do – like dance and celebrate queer joy!
