Our Story
The Brunswick Pride festival started in 2021 with an organizing committee of just a few people. Our small town festival has grown every year since!
Our Mission
The mission of Brunswick Pride is to organize events for the Brunswick-area LBGTQ+ community and allies. There has never been a more important time to come together to celebrate queer joy, the history of our resistance, and our beautiful futures.
We unapologetically believe
- That people of all genders, sexualities, abilities, and backgrounds deserve safe and fun spaces to celebrate and build community. We have no tolerance for hate speech, bigotry or violence.
- That it is crucial to support local, independent businesses and non-profit organizations that are owned by or serve the LGBTQ+ community.
- That marginalized and exploited groups should be centered in all our work.
- That PRIDE IS RESISTANCE! In a time when the LGBTQ+ community is facing attacks and threats, gathering to celebrate and organize is a form of resistance against fascism, homophobia and transphobia.
